Art is not meant to be merely decorative or beautiful; instead, it can be a question, an argument, a proposal or a resolution. By addressing the everyday challenges I strive to encourage others to confront social concerns and constraints. My artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. Often referencing American history, the work explores the varying relationships between popular culture and fine art.
